Arjuna Ranatunga : Middle Order Is Main Concern

Former Sri Lankan captain Arjuna Ranatunga said that Sri Lankan team is doing well in cricket but the main concern for the team is middle batting order. He was captain for the Sri Lankan team during the 1996 world cup. He said that team combination is good but they have to look for the batting order of the team.

He praised Sri Lankan side and said that having bowlers like Murali and Malinga they are having a very good chance of winning the mega event. Ranatuga said that Kumara and Mahela are the best batsmen in Sri Lankan side. They batted at number 3 and 4 position. He emphasize that they should have to change their batting position and one of them should come to bat at number 5 position.

Thilan Samaraweera and Kapugedara usually bat at lower middle order and both are very good batsman. Sri Lankan team is abundant with all rounder and they have depth in their batting line.

Arjuna said that if they adjust the batting order then they will be more successful in the world cup. He was both Kumara and Mahela to bat at different batting order to provide more stability to the Sri Lankan team.
