Breaking News: Royce Reed Suffers Seizure at Charity Event

Royce Reed from "Basketball Wives" suffered a seizure during a charity softball game yesterday, but was not transported to a hospital ... sources close to her tell TMZ.

We're told Reed took part in the Duffy's Hope Celebrity Softball Game in WIlmington, DE where she played in the game and signed autographs for fans. According to our sources, Reed pulled a hamstring muscle at one point and when she went to go sit down ... she passed out.

When she came to, our sources say Reed said she had no idea she suffered a seizure and told people it was the first time she had such an experience. Paramedics were called, but Reed said she was feeling fine and did not need to be transported to a hospital.

Reed told friends she felt a combination of exhaustion, stress, the heat and her diet caused the episode.

We're told Reed is feeling fine today, but plans to visit a doctor when she returns home to Florida.

A rep for Reed could not be reached for comment.

Royce Reed tell it how it is by addressing her Relevance in the NBA

Royce Reed does not play do not ever underestimate her.

" I find it funny when some of my cast members question my relevance to the NBA. I laugh because I feel as if I hold more relevance than most of them due to the fact I actually held a job for 3 season, received a paycheck, and was constantly in the community as an ambassador for both teams I was a part of.


I was in a relationship also but thats not what defines me so Im actually happy that I didnt have to tell my story pertaining to my ex. I was able to showcase who Royce is as a person, not someones ex.

I like holding my own without having to piggy back or ride on someone else coat-tails. Also, I’m still active in my career. I have a book out now called College Girls (you can purchase at Roycelyndsay.com) that is part one of a 5 book series and Im about to go on tour for a stage play called Cheaters.


My dance company is doing well and Im using my college degree to further myself. The show is a stepping stone and also an outlet to show who Royce really is. Like it or not, its me."

Meeka Claxton fake Gabrielle Union look a like suprised at VH1 Editing Basketball Wives

Let me clear the air Meeka is the first Basketball Wife or whoever I clearly dislike from the beginning of the show. The nerve of this broad throwing shade at Royce Reed who in the hell does she think she is. Mona coughs, "Nobody". Anyway Meeka does not like how she was edited on "BasketBall Wives". Here is the interview:

New Times: What did you think of the first episode of Basketball Wives, Season 3? Meeka Claxton: I mean, I watched it. And this is what I signed up for--it's not me, the way I was portrayed, but it was entertaining.


So you're already feeling you're being edited to be a person you're not by VH1?


Yes. I was very surprised. A lot with Royce; it was all cut out that I said how nice she was, how bubbly she was. So, it's funny how it started so innocently.


What made you want to join the Basketball Wives?


My friends watching the show would tell me, 'You should be on there! You're a wife, you're a business woman. Show that side of being a basketball wife.' And then Shaunie and I have a mutual friend and she suggested it when I began talking about opening a second office


What did your husband say when you told him you were joining the show?


He didn't want to do it. He said the same things; that the show had a bad stigma, but in the end, he agreed that it would be good to show someone that wasn't about all the drama, because that's not me at all. Just someone who has a business and a great family and foundation
Do you read the things people say about you?A lot of people are Royce fans and the show made me look a different way than I really am, so they have come at me. But I don't pay attention to it. I ignore the negativity.

Well Meeka Claxton I am going to try to ignore your horrible makeup on the show. Maybe if you spent less time throwing shade Royce; you might pay attention to your embarrassing makeup on the show.  Yes, Mona is a fan of Royce and Tami. I will shut you down in a heartbeat if you mess with them.  (Mona rolls eyes...) Meeka made a horrible first impression on BasketBall Wives; she was way to busy kissing Evelyn ass as if she is the best thing in the world. You better thank Royce fans for the extra publicity. This season Meeka is a Non Mutherfucking factor on this season of BasketBall Wives.

My Girl Royce Reeds tell those hens and clears the damn air about Basket Ball Wives!!!

I always been a Royce fan from day one. Someone has to represent for the petite chicas like myself.


Q: We saw the sneak peek of Basketball Wives Season 3 and it looks like more tension has erupted between the cast mates and Royce Reed. Last season, you came across as quiet and reserved while Evelyn Lozada became the show’s villain. This season Team Royce is more feisty and bold, what has changed between this season and last season?

The dynamic really hasn’t changed that much in my mind. I’m just more vocal about how I feel & with my opinions. I tend to sit back and watch without saying anything for a while then I like to form my own opinions. When you all 1st met me I was also meeting most of the other women also who’d already known each other for a while. It wasn’t my place to jump in & out of situations that didn’t concern me so I just sat back, ate my food & watched.

Q: Evelyn has done some pretty foul things on the show, like not revealing she had an affair with Tami’s ex-husband while he was still married to Tami, and yet Shaunie O’Neal always defends Evelyn and her actions in the media, and vouches for her character. Why is that, we can clearly see otherwise?

I think Shaunie defends Evelyn because she wants to keep her on the show. It’s a LOT of producers that run this show so she does not stand alone. Look at the credits & where they fall. I don’t start drama & she knows it but I do speak my mind. Shaunie will defend Evelyn & all her actions like a defense attorney. Right or wrong as long as she gets her check.

Q: But when it comes to Team Royce, it seems that Shaunie O’Neal runs to the media to take jabs. Is there something on the show that we are not seeing, that keeps causing friction between you and Shaunie?

Shaunie keeps causing friction with herself. She wakes up in the morning with me on her mind & tries to figure out ways to “mess with Royce”. I tend to ignore ignorance & that’s a pronoun in this sentence. She needs to go sit down somewhere. Shaunie does not own the air therefore I don’t need her in my life to survive. She is definitely not someone I want to spend my time on either.

Now I saw that clip of the fight, and you were like a ninja ready to take Evelyn out!!! Compared to the cast you are petite, but we never see you back down from a fight, and if the producers wouldn’t have broken up the fight we think Team Royce could have taken out Team Evelyn (LOL). How tall are you? Where do you get this fighting spirit?

I’m 5’3 & although I don’t condone violence I wasn’t raised to let anyone punk me. I’m small but I learned how to defend myself at a very young age & I took boxing for 2years. I’m not afraid to take a hit but I know how to duck & weave then swing. I tell people all the time “I’m from the hood, like really really really from the hood”… I just look like this & talk like this because I’m educated
